While on vacation, I was fortunate to meet my blogger buddy Jean at Plum Bistro in Seattle. Jean brought along two other vegan bloggers, Megan and Molly. They were all charming, and I loved chatting with them. I’ll write my own Plum Bistro post soon, but today I wanted to share Jean’s write up. Her photos are outstanding! The only thing that’s bugging me is that I’m growing my hair out from a short cut and I’m not crazy about my in-between hair style. Oh well – it will grow (eventually!). Wonderful post Jean!!
A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting Celeste from Honk if You’re vegan, and her husband Paul. I’d know of them only online but suggested a get together when I found out they were coming to Seattle.
Luckily Celeste chose to meet me at Plum Bistro, one of my favorite vegan restaurants. I invited a couple of other local vegan bloggers, Megan and Molly, and we turned brunch into an impromptu blogger meetup!
Celeste and her husband were so wonderful. It felt like we’d known each other for years. We chatted about blogging, vegan things, travels, and had a great time.
Our food was amazing too. Plum never disappoints, whether you get banana hotcakes…
tofu benedict…
portobello cake tartine…
or a spinach asparagus crepe.
Time flew by and it was time for Celeste and Paul to head out. I really appreciated that they took time…

I haven’t been to Plum Bistro for several years, I thought the food was average…not as good as Blossoming Lotus in Portland! Looks like a fun Seattle trip!
Thanks so much for your comment! My husband and I loved what we ordered at Plum and even went back for dinner. Of course, I’ve never been to Blossoming Lotus in Portland, so I can’t compare the two. Celeste 🙂
Looks like a fun time with compassionate vegan friends and a delicious brunch!! Wish I could have joined you! It’s becoming harder and harder to dine with my meat-eating friends; they talk about ribs and how they prepare chicken etc.
On a fashionable note and off topic–I love your outfit! The skirt is beautiful and I’m in love with lavender ever since I went to Niagara-on-the-Lake, when I stepped into a lavender shop–surrounded by this romantic colour and the air filled with the delightful fragrance of lavender!!

I want to do a post about these lovely shades of violet and would be happy if I could use your photo. Do you have one of you by yourself? You look beautiful!!
With compassion,
❤ carmen
Hey Carmen! I would have loved it if you came to lunch with us. And I know what you mean about eating out with meat-eating friends. Sometimes that’s difficult.
Thank you for the compliments! I got my whole outfit at a thrift store – can you believe that? I don’t have a photo of just myself in that outfit, but I can take one for you this weekend.
I checked out your Niagara post – it’s lovely! Even when you’re standing still, it’s obvious that you’re a dancer. You always have such grace in photographs Carmen.
Have a beautiful week! Celeste 🙂
Hey Carmen! I took some photos of me in the purple skirt. If you want me to send them to you, I need your email address. Thanks! Celeste 🙂
Sounds like a brilliant day out 😀
Love this!
Cheers

Thanks for your comment! Yes, it was quite lovely! Celeste 🙂
