    Thanks for sending this recipe my way. I have some cherries in my freezer that I will put to this purpose-one quick question. Do you ever have an issue with cherry pits? Sometimes there can be a stray pit or two in the bag of cherries. Do you know what happens if a pit ends up in the blender?

    • Great question Anne! I blend frozen cherries a lot to make my Cherry Garcia Shake. There have probably been stray pits from time to time in the cherries that I use, but since I use a high powered Vitamix blender I’ve never noticed any. I assume that this is because they just get blended in with everything else, which isn’t a problem since a pit won’t hurt you. A regular blender may not be strong enough to blend a pit, however. My guess is that it would leave pit chunks in the mix, which isn’t appetizing. So if you don’t have a high speed blender you’ll just have to hope there’s no pits (I know this doesn’t help much, but it’s the best I’ve got!).
