10 Last Minute DIY Christmas Gifts!

christmas_gifts_wallpaper_18b2a

Do you have some last-minute gifts to get? I found some wonderful DIY gifts for almost anyone on your list. Many of them are quick and easy to make and some even use recycled items making them thrifty and great for the environment. And, of course, they’re all cruelty free! Here’s what I found.

1. Wine Cork Magnets

My mother-in-law believes every woman should read Good Housekeeping so she gives me a subscription every year. While flipping through my latest copy I came across these adorable magnets. All you do is hollow out a cork and glue a magnet to the back and then add soil and a tiny succulent that you can water with an eye dropper. For more info check out doityourselfpin.com.

2. Homemade Soap

Poppy from Poppy’s Patisserie has lots of DIY Christmas gift ideas. I especially love her homemade soaps. They’re simple to make and she even tells you how to craft lovely little gift boxes out of toilet paper tubes. Now that’s recycling done right!

3. Fresh Baked Bread!

Most of us are too busy to bake our own bread these days, so it’s an appreciated gift. Especially when you bake a really special loaf like the Cranberry Ginger Pull Apart Bread pictured below. If cranberry ginger is not your style, check out this healthful Carrot Walnut Bread.

8. Vegan Fudge

Give your omnivore friends some fudge and don’t tell them it’s vegan until after they taste it. That’s what I did last year and it was a kick. The fudge pictured below is from Love. Peace. Happiness. Cooking. Another recipe to check out is Grandma’s Old Fashioned Fudge.

Awesome and so creative ideas! I especially love the play-doh!

  2. Thank you! I really appreciate this post! 🙂

  3. *Love* the wine cork tiny planters! Heaven knows I’ve got plenty of wine corks…

I used to make homemade playdoh when my kids were little and they loved it. Super easy and non-toxic, so when a kid pops some in their mouth (they’re gonna, make your peace with it!) at least they won’t get sick.

    Great list!

    • My grandfather would have loved you chica!! He loved wine and anyone who loved wine. Anywho, there are so many great crafts you can make out of corks, so you’ll just have to keep liberating them from wine bottles (you know, so you can make great craft stuff – hehe!).
