I recently wrote a post on vegan gifts, but you might also want to stuff a stocking. Here’s a list of awesome vegan goodies I found. What’s more, they’re all under ten bucks!
1. Hopscotch Kids Safe and Natural Nail Polish
Not all nail polish is vegan or even safe. Don’t put a harsh solvent-based polish that may have been tested on animals in your daughter’s stocking. Hopscotch Kids has vibrant, long-lasting colors that are safe and cruelty free. $8.00 from Hopscotch Kids.
2. Ladybug Jane Lip Balm
When I found out it was vegan, I sampled the Ladybug Jane Vanilla Cupcake Lip Balm at Whole Foods Market. It went on creamy and smelled delicious for a long time after I left the store. I highly recommend this item! They have lots of fun flavors and heal your lips with aloe and vitamin E. $3.99 at some Whole Foods locations or from Ladybug Jane.
I would have loved getting one of these coin purses when I was a kiddo! You can make two little girls happy for ten bucks with these fun, vegan and environmentally friendly gifts. 2 for $10.00 from Vegan Cuts.
I was surprised to learn that this adorable necklace is made from a repurposed Scrabble tile. The pendants have a hand painted “frame” around the design and are coated with a jewelry grade resin giving it a glass-like finish. $7.95 From artfire.com.
Here’s a perfect treat for someone who you want to meet under the mistletoe. These vegan, Kosher, gluten-free, nut free and all natural mints come in six flavors in cute little steel tins. $2.50 to $3.00 click here for a store locator.
6. Pacifica Perfumes
I noticed adorable little tins of Pacifica Perfumes at Whole Foods Market. I tried the Island Vanilla and loved it! They’re fragrances are joyful, modern and imaginative and they only use quality natural vegan ingredients. What’s more, they’re cheap! $9.00 at some Whole Foods Market locations or from Pacifica. I found a great review of these perfumes at Humaira Beauty.
7. Vegan Button
Let your vegan friend express herself with this fun button. $3.29 from Cafe Press.
I want to give a shout out to Girl for Animal Liberation for telling me about Rescue Chocolate – “the sweetest way to save a life!” From each chocolate purchased, 100% of the net profits are donated to animal rescue organizations around the country. The packaging of each vegan flavor of Rescue Chocolate sheds light on a different aspect of the current pet “overpopulation” epidemic.
Pictured below is Foster-iffic Peppermint: dark chocolate with peppermint, highlighting the need for people to provide foster care for shelter animals as they await their forever homes. $1.99 and up from Rescue Chocolates.
Do you know a vegan chick who likes to jot down notes old school style? Here’s the perfect stocking stuffer for me (oops, I mean her). $9.99 from Cafe Press.
These soaps are made of high quality organic bath and beauty products are not tested on animals, and contain no milk, honey or egg derivatives. In other words, they’re top quality, organic and vegan. $5.95 from Dirty Birdy.
