As many of you know from my cash giveaway (click here to enter!), I recently hit 500 followers. This made me so happy that I wanted to give a shout out to the last 15 people who followed me.
Before I could get to this, however; I went on vacation and by the time I got to this post I had 544 followers! Yes – I’m doing a happy dance 🙂
So instead of highlighting 485-500, I randomly choose 15 followers from everyone who started following me since Katy from Living Fruitfully, follower 485 who writes a truly inspirational healthy food blog. If you didn’t get chosen, it only means that you didn’t get picked out of hubby’s Red Sox hat – you’re still loved and soooo appreciated!

More than a cute name, Jen’s Much Ado About Muffin, boasts muffins in all flavors you can imagine. First she tempted me with her chocolate muffins (pictured above) and then she won my heart with a vegan version of her chocolate muffins. A little veg-curious Jen? I can only hope!
The Sparkled Sidewalk is potpourri of perky posts on travel, books, fitness, cooking and other random musings. Since I’m a plant-based foodie, I’ve been tempted by the site’s healthy and easy to veganize Chickpea Blondies.
Yvonne from Better With Lemons is a self-described carnivore who is following Mark Bittman’s Vegan Before 6 plan to support her parents who went plant-based for health reasons. Thus, she tempted me with the many plant-based recipes like her Ginger Peach Muffins. Her advice is, when life gives you lemons, cook!
You may think that food and helping animals is all I think about every day. Well, it sort of is – haha! Seriously, I do other stuff. I hike, go to the movies, hang out at the beach and artsy coffee shops, read, spend my hubby’s money and travel. Speaking of travel, I’ve always thought a cruise would be fun which is why The Cruise Addict intrigued me. If you’re a cruise lover or a cruise lover wannabe like me, you’ve got to check out this blog.
Speaking of other things I do, I’m also a beginning (very beginning) photographer. For inspiration, I like checking out photography blogs, and one site that astounds me is Linda Makiej Photography. I love her Water Lily and Reflection.
Baking Not Writing is a fun food blog loaded with yummy recipes including many vegan ones like Vegan Chocolate Praline Maple Bark. In fact, there’s so many vegan recipes that the blogger has been accused of writing a vegan blog (oh the horror in that!).
A life Curated is a thoughtful blog written by a courageous woman who quit her job to pursue her creative and personal interests. You go girl! Her blog is full of life lessons, humor and encouragement.
Andrea from Vegan Adventures somehow manages to make the tastiest vegan dishes despite her crappy oven that turns on and off by itself. Maybe her kitchen poltergeist is partially responsible for her delicious Jerk ‘Chicken’ Taco Bowl.
Check out the first sentence I read on Suborna’s blog, Eye Of The Beholder, “May you burn and rot in Hell-fire! May the Almighty hang you upside down and skin you alive in public!!” What the heck kind of blog is this???? Thankfully I kept reading, because oh my gosh is this recipe – yes, recipe! – blog is unique and wonderful. Check it out, it will surprise and captivate you.
Lyn from Wholly Freak! creates simple, plant-based recipes without oils, sugars, meat, dairy, processed foods or refined flours. Her recipes, like her Best Chinese Dumplings Ever, are perfect for people following The Engine 2 Diet and anyone who wants to eat fabulous food and stay healthy and slim.
Steak to Stalk Challenge is a brand new blog by a plant-based newbie. Let’s shower this new blogger with love and attention!
And that’s not the only new vegan blog on the block. Veganatomy is another fabulous new vegan blog to explore.
When life stresses you out and you’re pulling out your hair, it’s time to go to Zen Den. This blog is dedicated to promoting peaceful & creative living. Namaste.
Last, but certainly not least is Vegan Monologue. What makes this vegan blog unique is that it focuses on making plant-based food affordable, simple and yummy. Check out her Vegan Mushroom Spinach Quiche!
Well that’s all the awesome blogs I’m going to share today, but I have so many wonderful bloggers who follow me, so maybe I’ll highlight more another day.
