Lisa’s Million Dollar Freezer Fudge

I normally wouldn’t reblog two posts in a row, let alone two fudge posts in a row, but I just had to reblog Lisa’s fudge too. It just looks so yummy and it’s really healthy for fudge. I probably won’t make fudge until the holidays, but boy am I going to have fun next Christmas!

I was inspired to make fudge by a recipe on my friend Marisa’s blog and came up with this winning combo. I am calling it my Million Dollar Fudge because I just started reading The Astronaut Wives Club (loving it!) and the author referred to Mamie Eisenhower’s famous fudge recipe. You might not know this about me, but I am a history buff, and a presidential history buff at that. I read a biography of each of the presidents of the United States, in order! Anyway, this is not Mamie’s fudge or even an adapted version, but I loved the name so I am taking it!

1 cup chunky peanut butter
1/2 cup golden cacao butter
1/2 cup dates
1/4 cup raw cacao powder
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons almond flour or ground almonds
1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt

  1. Yum! This looks so good – I might have to try and make a sugar free version of this 🙂 How long does it take to set in the freezer before it has a good density to eat?
