You’re Never Too Old to Change Your Life!

The famous Dr. Spock pediatrician and author

“When I was 88 years old, I gave up meat entirely and switched to a plant foods diet following a slight stroke. During the following months, I not only lost 50 pounds, but gained strength in my legs and picked up stamina. Now, at age 93, I’m on the same plant-based diet, and I still don’t eat any meat or dairy products. I either swim, walk, or paddle a canoe daily and I feel the best I’ve felt since my heart problems began.”

Benjamin Spock, M.D, the famous Dr. Spock pediatrician and author, (1903-1998):

And in case you’re interested, the other Spock was vegetarian (possibly vegan) too.

That’s so inspiring! It’s definitely never too late. To add few more years (or even decades) of quality life.

Even the most famous children’s doctor was promoting plant base diet. We should tell Bill that both Spocks where vegans. Beam up Scotty!

    I met beam up Scotty!

I mean beam up Scotty! The wine is talking.

      I hope it’s a vegan wine, sis.

      • Jeanne Allen says:

No it was Barefoot Wine Cabernet Sauvignon in little bottles. I was on my first one when I wrote the last comment. As for Bill being a Trekkie I never seen him watching an episode of Star Trek.

Nice! I love that your blog is not preaching, but rather, motivating and inspiring! ‘m reading through the ones I missed and making my grocery list.

    • Thank you so much for your comment! I take that as a great compliment that you don’t see me as preachy. Who am I to preach anyway, I’ve only been vegan for a year and a half. And to be honest, even now I’m not perfect (I recently bought a pair of leather shoes). I hope you’re having a beautiful weekend. Celeste πŸ™‚
