Chicago’s Mayor Champions the Engine 2 Diet!

I was excited when one of my readers (thanks Deborah!) sent me a link about how Chicago’s mayor, Rahm Emanuel, asked his city’s residents to consider a vegan diet to improve their health.

What’s more, he specifically endorsed The Engine 2 Diet – the diet that my husband and I are on. This diet, also called a Plant-Strong Diet, was designed by former pro triathlete, Rip Esselstyn.

Emanuel is promoting this diet because he believes it will help to reduce the city’s high obesity rate. I say bravo Rahm Emanuel! I know this diet works because both my husband and I have lost weight on it. In fact, I weigh less now than I did in high school!

But there’s more! This diet will also help Chicago’s residents to reduce their high blood pressure and cholesterol like it did for my husband. And it will dramatically reduce their risk of heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease.

But don’t take my word for it, check out the research for yourself. The following books provide the medical proof behind the diet.
